This guy is actually A krom zek spy in disguise. By giving him the dispelling device, he'll transform and attack. Warning, his true form is tough (level 53? 55? with ~20k hp) and a belly caster, so you'll need to stand in melee range to land spells on him. Despite his double agent status, you can kill him while he's disguised as a Sentry and you'll receive the normal faction hits and loot just like any other Sentry.
